Payments and Fees

What payment do you accept?

We accept payments via Interac E-Transfer, however, we encourage payments via  crypto. Our email is METACINEPAYMENT@GMAIL.COM.

If you are paying through Interac E-Transfers, please make sure you add your Order Number as the “question” and use metacine as “password.”

Sending an Interac E-transfer is easy and only takes minutes with most Canadian banks. Please check with your online banking on how to send E-Transfers.

Please note, the E-transfer can take time to get to us. However, we will not ship out until payment is received.

What’s the minimum amount I can order?

There is a minimum of a $60.00 required before shipping and handling fees.

How do I pay in Crpyto?

When checking out with NowPayments, there is a 5 minute time limit to send your payment to the wallet. Please ensure that you send the right coin amount as shown.

We charge a payment markup percentage of 5% for gas and transaction fee. This helps Metacine to avoid market risks and coin’s volatility.

Does shipping come with a tracking number?

All shipping comes with tracking information and signature on delivery. You may waive the signature but that would also waive our responsibility if the order gets delivered but goes missing when you arrive home. We do not recommend that but sometimes your busy schedule cannot make the post office during their short hours. If you decide to waive signature please put down “no signature or N/S” in the order note section. We strongly suggest setting up a flex delivery address with Canada Post. 

It may take up to 24 hours for Canada Post to update their system with the tracking number.

If you’re tracking your package on Canada Post’s website and it has not updated in some time, it’s most likely due to your package missing a scan, which is fairly common.

Delivery and shipping

How much does shipping cost?

There is a $15 flat rate shipping fee on all orders. Orders over $100 is free shipping.

All orders are shipped by Canada Post Xpresspost service. Once your order has been processed, you will receive a tracking number via e-mail. Typically, you will receive your order within 1-3 business days, unless you live in a remote area. Orders placed before 10am PST will be shipped out same day. If your order was placed on Friday after 10am PST or the weekend, then the order is going to be processed and sent out the following Canada Post business day.

Please note that even though we ship by Xpresspost via Canada Post, sometimes there could be shipping delays due to processing errors or weather conditions and that’s beyond our control. We try to get your orders out as fast as we can to make deadlines. Please check with Canada Post for delay notices due to weather or strike issues. We will not be liable. No refund or credit will be given. 

Do you ship outside of Canada?

Sorry, we only ship within Canada.

How is my order packaged and delivered?

Your order will be discreetly packaged and sealed to protect and maintain your privacy.

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGED OR PROBLEMS WITH PRODUCTS DUE TO THE LONG DELAY SITTING IN TRANSIT.

What happens if my package looks like it has been tampered with?

Sometimes theft does happen (on rare occasions) once it reaches the Canada Post office or after delivery. When you do notice the package is in bad shape and the package looks like it’s been re-tape in a sloppy manner, then please do not sign for the package.

Metacine is not responsible for stolen packages before or after delivery. We try our best to get orders out in a very timely matter. Once the package leaves our facility and dropped off at Canada Post, we are not held responsible. There are known risk with using the mailing system. Please note, we only offer a one-time replacement packages on lost packages by Canada Post during transit and they have been confirm that it is “unrecoverable” before we send out a replacement package. We have these policies in place as a safety blanket for Metacine to protect us from fraudulent claims.

 

What happens if I don’t get my package?

If you do not get your package 3 days after the expected arrival date, let us know and we will file a trace with Canada Post. If a trace is filed, Canada Post will conduct an investigation . If they can locate the package, they will ship it and re-routed to you. If it’s deemed “unrecoverable” or “confiscated”, we will send you a 1x replacement package, free of charge (does not apply if you waive signature) and no refunds. Replace packages are to be the same value you paid for. Does not matter if the item was on sale or you got more for what you paid for during that time. 

Please be aware the process can take awhile, sometimes 1 to 6 weeks for Canada Post to declare it unrecoverable after a service ticket has been placed. 

There are known risks for ordering these products through our mailing systems as there is a very small chance it could get “confiscated” or “lost”. If packages is said to be delivered by Canada Post and you did not receive it, we do not take any responsibility. Please order at your own risk!

METACINE will not be held liable for lost orders due to: mistakes made by the postal offices, wrong address given by the customer, damage to order by postal service, expired PO BOX numbers, stolen packages before or after delivery, or problems with products due to Canada Post transit delay due to strike.

Please have “General Delivery” set up before using your local post office address for shipping. Flex Delivery is also a great way to get your packages shipped to you. Please visit www.canadapost.ca for more information!

We do not offer postage refunds if your order arrives late due to any postal issues.

What is the difference between Sativa and Indica?

Sativa and Indica are the two major types of cannabis plants which can mix together to create hybrid strains. Each strain has its own range of effects on the body and mind resulting in a wide range of medicinal benefits.

The high produced from smoking Indica bud is a strong physical body high that will make you sleepy or ‘couch-locked’ and provides a deep relaxation feeling compared to a Sativa high, which is known to be more energetic and uplifting.

Marijuana strains range from pure sativas to pure indicas and hybrid strains consisting of both indica and sativa (30% indica – 70% sativa, 50% – 50% combinations, 80% indica – 20% sativa). Because Sativa and Indica buds have very different medicinal benefits and effects, certain strains can be targeted to better treat specific illnesses.

Indica dominant marijuana strains tend to have a strong sweet or sour odour to the buds (ex. Kush, OG Kush) providing a very relaxing and strong body high that is helpful in treating general anxiety, body pain, and sleeping disorders.

Indicas are very effective for overall pain relief and is often used to treat insomnia for many people. Indica buds are most commonly smoked by medical marijuana patients in the late evening or even right before bed due to how sleepy and tired you become when high from an indica strain of marijuana, like Kush.
